This townhouse is in a charming Queen Anne Victorian style duplex situated behind our 140 year old home, one of Santa Barbara's oldest Victorians, which was built in the mid 1800's. We restored the house in 1998.
Completed in 2001 in the same style as the main house, the townhouse boasts a tower, complete with "witches cap". It is tastefully furnished with an eclectic mix of family heirlooms and new craftsman style furniture.
Features include hand-inlaid wood floors, a bay window/window-seat, and a fireplace in the living room. Both units have decks.
The "A" open-air deck is 20 ft by 25ft, furnished with glass-topped wrought iron table and 6 chairs, occasional seating and lounge chairs - ideal for a BBQ, board games, and sunbathing.
The "B" covered deck is cozily ensconced in the tower creating a wonderful outdoor room. Situated just off the kitchen, the deck can become a private retreat for morning coffee, an outdoor room that's just perfect for a luncheon, a bridge game, an intimate candlelit dinner, or a nightcap.
These are 2 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath units, each on two floors, with sleeping capacity for up to 6. There is a king bed in the master; and twin beds in the second bedroom. The living room couch is a futon that can be made into a double bed. The two bedrooms are upstairs above the living area and have cathedral ceilings.
This townhouse is located in downtown Santa Barbara, just 2 blocks from State Street theaters, restaurants, and shops. We are walking distance to downtown and the beach and a beautiful drive to many sights and activities.

Rental Rate Notes
Weekly rentals that include a holiday are $250 higher than those posted here. We offer 3 night getaways for $700, plus $125 cleaning fee; or, 4 night getaway rates for $1000, (including cleaning fee in 2008). Standard weekly cleaning fee is $125.00. However, In 2008 cleaning fees are waived for any rental of $1000 or more.Rental Policies

Weekly Rates are for 6 nights/7 days. Additional nights will be charged at a reduced rate off nightly "Rack" rate, based upon season. Monthly rates are based upon a calendar month. Holiday Rates are for 4 nights/5 days. Additional nights will be charged at a reduced rate off nightly "Rack" rate, based upon season. Holidays include: Holiday and Holiday Weekend Rates: New Year (January 1, 2005) Valentine's Day (February 14, 2004) Sadie Hawkins Day (February 29, 2004) Easter Weekends (Including Passover, April 5th; or Maundy Thurs, April 8 thru Easter, April 11, 2004) Memorial Day (May 31, 2004) UCSB Graduation (June 12-13, 2004) Westmont Graduation (May 7-8, 2004) Summer Solstice (Weekend of June 26, 2004) Fiesta Weekend (1st Wk in August) Labor Day Weekend (September 6, 2004) Thanksgiving (November 25, 2004) Christmas (December 25, 2004) Pets negotiable. Pet deposit ($250/pet) required. Limit 2 pets. This is a non-smoking house. If you are a smoker, you may smoke on the balcony or deck, provided that cigarettes are extinguished in ashtrays and discarded in the trash when cold. No cigars, please.
Rental Fees, Cleaning Fees (if applicable), and Deposit(s) are due in advance for the purpose of reserving the designated time period as well as to offset any damages (financial or physical). For rentals of less than $1000.00 the cleaning fee is $125.00. Pet deposit: $250/small to medium dog. Limit 2 pets. Sorry we do not accept cats due to their allergenicity.
In the event of cancellation, Lessor reserves the right to retain any or all of the Rental Fees and the Deposit(s) Paid To Date as Consideration for inconvenience and loss of opportunity. In the event of cancellation due to a verified emergency, Lessor will attempt to re-rent the unit. If successful all moneys paid will be refunded less a $95.00 re-booking fee. The portion of the Deposit(s) not required to offset any damages, (financial or physical) normal wear and tear excepted, will be refunded within 14 days of departure.
